About Us

Children that attend FMC preschool are taught first and foremost that God loves them and that the church is a safe and fun place to be. The Christian based curriculum also helps these children learn about shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and how to get along with others; all very important skills to master in order to be successful students later in life.

Because this preschool is open to the community, several children have had their first church experiences by attending classes here.

Our preschool, which was established in 2001, is a self-supporting ministry made possible by the generosity of this church. Salaries for the staff and supplies for the school are financed by tuition and fundraisers. However, the use of the church building is an invaluable asset that makes this ministry possible.

General Information

Registration is open to anyone age 6 weeks to 4 years old. Beginning in March, enrollment will be open for the following school year. Applications can be obtained by calling the church office (994-5706), or by contacting the preschool coordinator, Kathie Haygood. We will also be glad to answer your questions about our program or schedule a visit to the church.

The preschool follows the Monroe County Public School Calendar and generally runs from August to May. Each class has two teachers. Preschool hours are from 8:30 am to 12 noon. There is also fulltime childcare available from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm as an extension of the preschool program.

Our Purpose

To help preschoolers see themselves as a special creation of God and to help strengthen their physical and mental abilities, giving them the self confidence to become healthy, emotionally stable, socially adjusted individuals in their world.

• Full Day 7:30am - 6:00pm
